Do Work That Holds Things Up
NDT, inspection and metallurgical careers with an independent Edmonton company — field, lab and shop, across Western Canada.
Careers at CIC — NDT, Inspection & Metallurgical Jobs
CIC Inspection & Consulting hires NDT technicians, metallurgical engineers and lab technologists, welding inspectors and coordinators for work across Western Canada — from an independent company that's been doing it since 1982. If you'd rather your work matter than blur together, inspection is a good trade, and this is a good place to practice it.
Why Technicians Choose an Independent
At CIC the work changes: field NDT one week, shop inspection the next, lab work between — pressure equipment, structures, cranes, rail, pipelines, mills. Independents live on the quality of their calls, which means your findings are the product, not a formality. That builds better technicians, faster.
Roles We Hire For
CGSB-certified NDT technicians — UT, MT, PT, RT and advanced methods, Levels 1 through 3
Metallurgical engineers and materials lab technologists — mechanical testing, metallography, failure analysis
CWB-certified welding inspectors and QC personnel
API-certified inspectors — 510, 570, 653
Trainees — see below
Getting Into NDT
Nobody is born CGSB-certified. NDT technicians build certification through documented hours, training and exams — and CIC develops trainees who show up curious, careful and on time. If you're mechanically inclined and want a trade where the standard is written down and your signature means something, ask us about starting.
