Inspection Programs, Not Just Test Results
API compliance, weld acceptance and asset condition — the judgment layer on top of the testing.
Inspection Services in Edmonton & Across Alberta
Testing methods answer 'what does the data say.' Inspection services answer the question your regulator, engineer and insurer actually ask: 'is this asset compliant and fit for service?' CIC delivers both from one independent company — the certified judgment layer on this page, powered by the NDT methods on our services page. Start with the obligation or asset in front of you.

Asset & Application Inspection
One Company Under Both Hats
Most inspection firms subcontract their NDT; most NDT firms stop at the data. CIC carries both: the API and CWB certified inspectors who make the call, and the in-house RT, UT, PAUT and surface-method crews who generate the evidence. One mobilization, one report, one accountable signature — and an independent one, because we don't fabricate or repair anything we inspect.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between NDT services and inspection services?
NDT services are the testing methods — ultrasonics, radiography, magnetic particle — that generate data about a material or weld. Inspection services apply certified judgment to that data against a code or standard: API intervals, CWB weld acceptance, fitness-for-service. CIC provides both, which is why the finding and the evidence arrive in one report.
What does third-party inspection mean?
Third-party inspection is performed by a company independent of both the owner and the fabricator or contractor — no stake in schedule or repair revenue. That independence is what makes the disposition credible to engineers, regulators and insurers when the parties disagree.
Can you take over an existing inspection program?
Yes — existing CML networks, vessel histories and inspection records transfer in; we work from your program documents and keep the data continuous.
